Neurosurgeons of the SO «Scientific-Practical Center of Endovascular Neuroradiology. NAMS of Ukraine» visited the practical hands-on course of the acute stroke treatment in Germany.

Senior researcher, neurosurgeon, candidate of medical sciences, Konotopchik Stanislav and neurosurgeon Pastushyn Alexander visited the Aperio Workshop, which was held at the University
Hospital in Düsseldorf on 4 and 5 February, 2019. Hands-on / Mentice Simulation Training was mentoring by Dr. Kraus, Dr. Kaschner, Dr. Turowski.

Subject of lectures:

  • Acute Ischemic Treatment – evolution, evidence and actual standard indications.Special indications beside standard thrombotic large vessel occlusion (Tandem occlusions, long occlusions, dissections, stenotic lesions).
  • Management of coagulation and thrombocytes (During and after intervention).
  • Organization of effective Treatment of Acute Ischemic Stroke.

After the lectures and improving the practical skill on simulators, highly effective German experience of endovascular treatment of acute stroke was obtained, which often is the method of choice for this kind of patients.

An appointment at

  • Consultations are held on weekdays from Monday to Friday, from 8.30 to 16.30.
  • Consultations held on the 8th floor of the building of the Centre in the advisory office (opposite the elevator in the lobby).
  • SI "NPTSENRH NAMS of Ukraine" - is a public institution, so the advice is free of charge
  • In most cases, patients waiting for consultation is not more than an hour. Duration of consultation on average about half an hour
